Despite winning against the Boston College Eagles, 37-17 on Saturday, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have had problems defending the no-huddle. Ken Sugiura of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution says that the Eagles were able to move the football when they were in the no-huddle:

Regardless, the Eagles experienced their most ease of advancement when they went to no-huddle for much of their two touchdown drives in the second half. On the two possessions, quarterback Chase Rettig drove Boston College 138 yards in just 13 plays.

The Yellow Jackets know that they got some help thanks to mistakes from the Eagles, including a roughing the kicker penalty that gave the Yellow Jackets the ball back, up 14 points in the fourth quarter. Another thing that the Yellow Jackets hope that they can improve upon is their pass defense.

Eagles quarterback Chase Rettig was sacked only twice in 31 attempts. Yellow Jackets head coach Paul Johnson believes that while the pass defense did an okay job against the Eagles, there is more that they could improve upon:

"We played some more basic coverages and defensively, I thought that everyone was more on the same page," Johnson said. "We still need to work on it, and we have got to get better pressure on the quarterback, especially."

The Yellow Jackets play the BYU Cougars this week.
