Poole's return could help stabilize the Yellow Jackets' kicking game.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets get holder Sean Poole back from injury this week, which could help the field goal unit improve. Poole has been out since suffering an upper-body injury against Miami, and kicker David Scully struggled in his absence, missing four of five kicks. Scully was replaced at halftime last week after missing a pair of field goals.

Yellow Jackets special teams coordinator David Walkosky said Poole's return should be something of a relief to the kickers. "Shoot, he's the quarterback of your operations," Walkosky said. "I think the kickers feel good about having him in there."

Justin Moore had been handling the holding duties while Poole was out, but it was Moore who replaced Scully as the field goal kicker against Boston College. He made one of two field goal tries in that game and also missed an extra point, but the Jackets won the game comfortably.

Georgia Tech hosts BYU at 3 p.m. ET this Saturday.
