Georgia Tech Vs. Virginia Tech Final Score: Yellow Jackets Fall In Overtime, 74-73

Even with suspended guard Glen Rice Jr., the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets nearly pulled off an upset against the Virginia Tech Hokies. Georgia Tech ultimately fell in overtime to Virginia Tech 74-73 in overtime. Kammeon Holsey led Georgia Tech in scoring with 18 points and was 6-of-10 from the field and made all six of his free throws; Georgia Tech even had all five of their starters in double figures but it was not enough.

The game went to overtime after the two teams went scoreless over the last 2:11 in regulation. Georgia Tech took a two-point lead on a jumper by Daniel Miller, but then Virginia Tech's Jarell Eddie made a pair of free throws to tie the game at 65. During the last two and a half minutes both teams had chances to win. Virginia Tech managed to miss a pair of free throws and a dunk that came off of a missed shot, and Georgia Tech missed a pair of three-pointers.

In overtime the game was back and forth with the largest lead only being three points. Georgia Tech looked to have the game in hand when Mfon Udofia hit a jumper to take a 73-71 lead with five seconds left, but Virginia Tech's Dorenzo Hudson was able to make a game-winning three-point shot to give Virginia Tech a 74-73 wing.
