Clemson's 56-37 win is the lowest point total for Georgia Tech since 1980, while the Jackets have lost 10 of their last 11 ACC games.
Clemson and Georgia Tech are challenging the very foundation of the shot clock era, as the Tigers lead the Yellow Jackets 27-18 after one half of play in Atlanta. With play resuming in the second half, Tech has shot 8-of-22 from field goal range and 2-of-8 from three point range. Both teams have combined to shoot 5-of-18 from beyond the arc.
The Tigers built their lead on a 10-2 run midway through the first half, assisted by four missed jumpers, two missed free throws and four turnovers (12 total in the half) by Tech. Clemson junior forward Milton Jennings leads all scorers with 13 points and three rebounds, while Tech's leading scorer is guard Brandon Reed, with eight points and two boards.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will host the Clemson Tigers on Tuesday night in ACC action. As the two teams head into the final stretch of the 2011-12 regular season, the Yellow Jackets are hoping to improve on their current 2-10 conference record any way they can. They'll need another win or two to avoid finishing the season in the cellar of the ACC.
Georgia tech has lost 13 of their last 15 games and are currently riding a three-game losing streak. The Tigers, meanwhile, are 5-7 in ACC play and have lost four of their last six games.

Georgia Tech Vs. Clemson Final Score: Jackets Lose 56-37, Mark Lowest Point Total Since 1980
Georgia Tech mustered only 37 points Tuesday night against Clemson, an offensive non-showing that sealed the Yellow Jackets' fourth consecutive loss, and their tenth loss in 11 games. The Tigers won 56-37 in an ugly effort marked by 30 combined turnovers (18 for Tech) and a Tech offense that shot 31.9 percent from field goal range.
The loss is the second time this season Georgia Tech has failed to score 40 points, and the lowest point total of the year (they scored 38 in a loss to Virginia January 19. The 37 total points is the lowest for Tech since 1980. Kammeon Holsey (12 points) and Brandon Reed (11 points) led what little scoring there was for the Yellow Jackets.
With the loss, Georgia Tech drops to 9-18 overall and 2-11 in ACC play.
