Georgia Tech was able to get a big contribution from Glen Rice Jr. as his 11 points off the bench as the Yellow Jackets defeat the Boston College Eagles, 51-47.
Glen Rice Jr.'s team-high 11 points off the bench helped nudge the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets over the Boston College Eagles 51-47 in ACC conference play on Saturday afternoon. Rice, who started on the bench due to a nagging foot injury, was huge as the rest of the starters were only able to muster 29 points for the entire game.
Matt Humphrey was big for BC, scoring a team-high 15 points with four rebounds and three assists for the Eagles. Yet, the Eagles had 14 turnovers for the game compared to GT's 9, and the Eagles three-point shooting failed them going just 8-27 from deep for the day.
With the win, Georgia Tech gets their second ACC victory of the season and are 9-14 on the season.
