Georgia Tech guard Glen Rice Jr. and a Yellow Jackets graduate assistant have been charged after a drunk driving incident last week. A third person in the vehicle reportedly fired a weapon.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets guard Glen Rice Jr. has been charged in an incident stemming from a gunshot fired from a car, the AJ-C reports. Rice was charged with permitting unlawful operation last Wednesday.

Georgia Tech graduate assistant London Warren, was charged with DUI-less safe. On Monday, Yellow Jackets head coach Brian Gregory made a statement saying that Warren has been dismissed from the program. Rice's status with the Georgia Tech program is unclear, as the Yellow Jackets best player has been suspended from the team since Feb. 17. A third person in the car admitted that he shot the firearm on accident. Steven Pryor told police it was an accident as he tried to remove the gun from between the seats. Pryor was charged with firing a firearm under the influence.

Rice has been on the hot seat for each of the last two years. Previous head coach Paul Hewitt benched Rice for the final five games of the season for discipline issues. This season, Rice was suspended twice by Gregory and didn't play in another game past February 17th.
