The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Miami Hurricanes will close out the first day of the 2012 ACC Tournament at Philips Arena. The Yellow Jackets struggled their way to a 11-19 regular season record and were 4-12 in ACC play. Miami finished 18-11 and was 9-7 in conference play.

Miami won the lone regular season meeting between the two clubs 64-49 at Philips Arena. Mfon Udofia led the Yellow Jackets with 14 points in that game while Glen Rice added 13. Rice has since been suspended by the team and will not play on Thursday.
