The Duke Blue Devils finished second in the ACC's regular season earning them the No. 2 seed in the 2012 ACC Tournament and a bye in the first round. The Blue Devils will open play on Friday against Virginia Tech who knocked off Clemson 68-63 in first-round action on Thursday.
Duke won both regular season matchups with the Hokies although they needed overtime in Blacksburg. Duke has won seven of its last eight games with the only loss coming against North Carolina in the finale of the regular season. Virginia Tech snapped a four game losing streak on Thursday with their victory over Clemson.
