Will Jackson Named ACC Offensive Lineman Of The Week

Stay connected for news and updates

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets offensive lineman Will Jackson has been named the ACC offensive lineman of the week, two days after the Yellow Jackets manhandled the Virginia Cavaliers, 56-20.

In his first-ever start at offensive tackle, Jackson helped Tech accumulate 594 total yards with eight plays of 20 yards or more. Jackson, a junior, had played guard for his entire Tech career before being switched to right tackle for Saturday's game. Jackson was the only Tech player chosen as a player of the week and the first Yellow Jacket to earn ACC player-of-the-week recognition.

Not too shabby for a Jackson's first-ever start at right tackle.

Jackson stands at 6'3, 290-pounds, and is from Knoxville, Tenn. The redshirt junior was named to the 2012 Second Team Preseason All-ACC team prior to this season. Jackson was also named to the 2010 ACC All-Academic team.
