Miami Vs. Georgia Tech: Charles Perkins Out Indefinitely With 'Upper Body' Injury

Stay connected for news and updates

Georgia Tech B-Back Charles Perkins is out indefinitely after suffering what Yellow Jackets head coach Paul Johnson is calling an "upper body" injury, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The position has been snake bit with injuries so far this year. The starting B-back, Zach Laskey, is battling an injured shoulder and missed the second half of Georgia Tech's win over Virginia last week. Last year's starter at the position, David Sims, played some in the opening season loss at Virginia Tech but is still recovering from a stress fracture to the shin.

The AJC reports that when asked if Perkins' "upper body" injury was season-ending, Johnson simply replied, "We'll see."
