Miami Vs. Georgia Tech: Yellow Jackets Defense Getting Attention

Stay connected for news and updates

Georgia Tech's defense doesn't get a lot of attention, with the triple-option on the other side of the ball getting most of the publicity. But the Miami Hurricanes have taken notice of what the Jackets bring to the table on "D," according to macon.com.

Miami will face Georgia Tech's 3-4 defense Saturday at 3 p.m. ET in Atlanta. Miami's coaches are taking notice of the Jackets' linebackers:

"... It's a big, strong, physical group that gives you multiple fronts," Miami coach Al Golden said. "They have a very aggressive linebacker corps with playmakers. And I think the biggest change is how aggressive they are on the back end and how they're challenging receivers."

Georgia Tech's defense is No. 22 in the country and hasn't allowed a touchdown on the ground all year.
