After a tough loss to Middle Tennessee State, a battered Yellow Jacket team will look to make it a win in six of their last seven games against Clemson.
A tough loss to the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders likely still ringing, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will venture to rebound against the Clemson Tigers in conference action on Saturday at Clemson's Memorial Stadium.
With Georgia Tech having won five of the last six meetings between the two squads — including last year's upset victory over an undefeated and nationally rising Clemson squad — the Yellow Jackets will look to continue the trend, but will need to step up to what will likely amount to an even tougher challenge than MTSU.
"If we don't get ready to play a little better and a little harder against Clemson, it'll be embarrassing," Yellow Jackets coach Paul Johnson told the Atlanta Journal Constitution on Saturday. "They've got a great football team. We've got a big challenge in front of us."
Against Middle Tennessee State, Georgia Tech was undone by a defense that could not hang with the Sun Belt squad, as the Blue Raiders posted more than 500 yards against the Yellow Jacket defense.
Clemson comes into the matchup off of a good rebound victory over the Boston College Eagles after the Tigers suffered their first loss of the season to the Florida State Seminoles.
