2012 U.S. Open Leaderboard Update: Kevin Na, Branden Grace Atop Leaderboard

Stay connected for news and updates

An American currently is tied for the lead at the 2012 U.S. Open through the early going in Thursday's first round. No, it's not Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson, but instead, Kevin Na finds himself tied with Branden Grace at -3 through their first nine holes of play.

The three stars in the superstar trio of Woods, Mickelson and Bubba Watson are all struggling through eight holes. Woods sits at +1, while Mickelson and Watson are both +4 -- not exactly the start any of them were looking for.

In addition to Na and Grace, Jason Bohn, Padraig Harrington, Carl Pettersson, Fredrick Jacobson, Marc Warren, Alex Noren, and Nick Sherwood are all under par and very much so capable of leading the event after the first round.

A full leaderboard can be viewed here.
