U.S. Open Golf 2012: Matt Kuchar Double Bogeys First Hole On Day 2

Matt Kuchar got off to a rough start on Day 2 at the U.S. Open in San Francisco. Kuchar came out and double-bogeyed the very first hole, dropping his overall score to 3-over par for the tournament.

Coming into Friday's action, the Georgia Tech alum had tied for seventh place at even par and was four shots off the lead. He's currently tied for 32nd place with the likes of Ernie Els and Jason Dufner, seven shots off the lead.

Michael Thompson is atop the leaderboard at 4-under part and should be teeing off any minute. Tiger Woods, the odds-on favorite to win the tournament, is in the hunt for the lead at 1-under and tees off a 1:18 p.m. ET.
