Stay connected for news and updates

First round play at The Open Championship begins in the early morning hours on Thursday. Fans will have a live streaming option via WatchESPN which will begin its coverage at 3:30 a.m. ET on Thursday. That is a couple hours earlier than the television broadcast.

The beginning coverage will start with just holes 9-11 but will quickly shift into BBC's coverage approximately 30 minutes later. A Spanish option will also be offered as well as a focus on the first and eighteenth holes.

For those seeking a mobile option, The Open Championship's official mobile app will offer live streaming of three holes as well as live scoring updates and video highlights. The app is currently available for both iOS and Android devices.
