2012 Ryder Cup Schedule: Full list of events and tournament information

The 2012 Ryder Cup begins on Friday, but the days leading up to the tournament are full of events for fans.

The world of golf is preparing for the 2012 Ryder Cup at the historic Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Ill., and as Team USA gears up to take on Team Europe, there is a whole week of events for fans. The tournament itself begins on Friday as captain Davis Love III will lead Tiger Woods, Bubba Watson, Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk and others as they face a Team Europe that includes Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia. A schedule for both the events and the tournament is below.

Wed., Sept. 26: Gate Hours 7 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- Ryder Cup team practice 8 a.m. onward
- Junior Ryder Cup Exhibition 2 - 6 p.m.
- Ryder Cup Gala 8:30 p.m.

Thur., Sept. 27: Gate Hours 7 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- Ryder Cup team practice 8 a.m. onward
- Opening Ceremonies 4 - 5 p.m.
- Bagpipes and Blues 8 p.m.

Fri., Sept. 28: Gate Hours 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
- First tee time (foursomes) 7:20 a.m.
- First tee time (fourballs) 12:05 p.m. or 1:05 p.m.

Sat., Sept. 29: Gate Hours 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
- First tee time (foursomes) 7:20 a.m.
- First tee time (fourballs) 12:05 p.m.

Sun., Sept. 30: Gate Hours 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
- Singles tee times 11:03 a.m. - 1:04 p.m.
