Two high profile losses in the past week means the Atlanta Hawks slipped from seventh to eighth in the latest SB Nation NBA power rankings.

The latest SB Nation NBA power rankings were released on Monday, and the Atlanta Hawks slipped from seventh to eighth after a pair of high profile losses this past week. The Hawks played two tough teams in their four games this week, and lost them both. They lost 101-92 to the Miami Heat last Monday, and got blown out by the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, 115-93.

The Oklahoma City Thunder jumped into the top spot this week after the San Antonio Spurs dropped a pair of games. The New York Knicks moved up to second, and the Spurs dropped to third. The Heat are in fifth.

The Hawks have a good opportunity to get their week off on the right foot on Tuesday night when they travel to the nation's capital to take on the Washington Wizards. The going gets a little tougher, though, as they have to play the Thunder the next night at home.
