Daniel Shirey-USA TODAY Sports

At 10-5, only five NBA teams boast a better winning percentage than Atlanta through the first week of December.

After beating the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night, the Atlanta Hawks have moved to within 1.5 games of the Southeast-leading Miami Heat.

The Hawks (10-5) have won four divisional games and four games on the road while putting up a winning percentage of .667. There are only two teams in the Eastern Conference - the Heat and the New York Knicks - with better winning percentages than the Hawks, and just five total teams in all of the NBA.

In the Southeast conference, the Hawks sit behind the Heat, but ahead of the Charlotte Bobcats, Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards. At 2-13, the Wizards boast the worst record in the NBA.
