NFL Power Rankings Preview, Week 7: Falcons And Bears Back To Double Digits, Patriots To The Top?

Here's my top ten, after the Jets became our first five-win team in a camera-shudderingly tough environment, the Patriots beat another top-five team, and the Eagles re-established themselves as the class of the NFC:

  1. New York Jets
  2. Pittsburgh Steelers
  3. New England Patriots
  4. Philadelphia Eagles
  5. Baltimore Ravens
  6. Indianapolis Colts
  7. Houston Texans
  8. New Orleans Saints
  9. Atlanta Falcons
  10. Kansas City Chiefs
A dominant performance by either the Tennessee Titans or Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football could vault the winner past the tumbling Chiefs, who can't fall too far after playing out of their element and almost beating Houston at their own points-happy game.

After the Colts, it's all a big mess of a paritygasm, and anyone could make a very strong case for the New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, or Miami Dolphins. Based on record alone, you could even consider the Arizona Cardinals or Tampa Bay Buccanneers.

We'll update tomorrow as the haircuts publish their own power rankings, and we'll crank out another edition of our own official, math-powered rankings.
