The World's Largest Outdoor Damon Evans Tribute is usually a big deal as far as SEC East standings go, and this year is no different. Though usually it's because both the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs are very good. The Mississippi St. Bulldogs have already won Jacksonville braggin' rights, but there's plenty more at stake than just border hate. The loser is all but out of the division title race, while the winner has far, far better chances than it deserves.
Though Georgia surely won't be sporting their black helmets from last year's disaster, Florida will trot out wearing its Nike Pro Combat unis. Pro Combat-clad teams have gone 2-1 this year, with the TCU Horned Frogs' handbag look earning them a win over the Oregon State Beavers as the Boise State Broncos' emo-bangs asynchronicity beat the Virginia Tech Hokies' Nazi Tron regalia. Most useless stat ever.
The return of Florida WR Chris Rainey might give the Gator offense a punch, or at least a threatening SMS. Georgia WR A.J. Green and QB Aaron Murray might not light up Florida's defense like they have those of the Tennessee Volunteers, Vanderbilt Commodores, and Kentucky Wildcats in consecutive weeks, but Florida's certainly going to need more points than it could muster against Missy State or the Alabama Crimson Tide.
TV time: 3:30 on CBS.
