NFC South Schedule, Week 9: Carolina Panthers Vs. St. Louis Rams

Champagne corks were popping all over Detroit last week as the Carolina Panthers got their first win the of the season, preserving the Lions' legacy as the only winless team in the 16-game era. Wait. What's that? They don't celebrate that? Oh, my bad. Anyway, the Panthers are finally off the schnide. They'll look to make it two in a row this Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.

The Rams are 3-4 but three of their losses have come by a combined seven points. Against all logic, a 1-15 team last season led by a rookie quarterback has a real chance to win the NFC West. They've already beaten two fellow NFC playoff hopefuls in the Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks. The Rams have yet to win on the road this year but are 3-1 at home. They'll be in St. Louis this week so a return to .500 is within reach.

TV time: 1 on FOX.
