The ACC announced today that Georgia Tech will host Miami in two weeks at 12:00 p.m. EST on the ACC Network. The Coastal Division rivals are hoping to still be in the race to go to Charlotte by the time this game rolls around, as both have tough matchups this week against Virginia Tech and Maryland respectively.
↵Neither of the last two meetings in this series have been close. Last year, Georgia Tech traveled to Miami for its third game in 12 days, and lost by a score of 33-17. The year before, the Jackets hosted the Canes on a cold Thursday night in November, and ran the option to perfection for 472 rushing yards and a 41-23 victory.
↵Miami has historically struggled in cold weather games, and Tech fans will be disappointed in not getting a night game. Paul Johnson has always said that he prefers the earlier start times, however.
