Bowl Projections, Week 12: Georgia Tech Vs. Houston, UCF, Or East Carolina?

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 13-year bowl streak is in serious trouble. With a win next week over the Duke Blue Devils they'll become eligible -- then again, six ACC teams are already in, plus the Boston College Eages and Clemson Tigers each have five wins and at least two very winnable games, as of this writing. If the Jackets beat Duke and lose to the Georgia Bulldogs, they very well could slip below eighth in the ACC pecking order.

But let's say they hang on and remain the conference's eighth-most desirable team. Not that every team in the ACC isn't the ... OK fine. This would put them in line for the Military Bowl in Washington DC on Dec. 29, same as last week. They'd take on a Conference USA team of unknown regard, though CBS currently likes the Houston Cougars in the spot.

I'd like to see what happens if Tech can advance a little higher, but sigh. Other C-USA teams that could be considered would include the UCF Knights, East Carolina Pirates, and HEY LOOK the UTEP Miners are tied with the Arkansas Razorbacks right now, so let's not play them.
