2010 SEC Championship Game Tickets Going For $329 And Up

Tickets to this year’s SEC Championship Game between the South Carolina Gamecocks and Auburn Tigers are starting at $329 on ticket-seller aggregation site FanSnap. Somebody’s also trying to sell a 24-person suite for oveer $30,000, in case that sounds like a good deal to you. FanSnap collects offers from around the web, so it’s probably the best look you can get at how much tickets are going for.

Cam Newton’s play, Cam Newton’s drama, Auburn’s possibly undefeated season, Steve Spurrier’s return to Atlanta, and the Cocks’ first-ever shot at an SEC title will make this an especially high-demand conference title game. But it’s hard to dream up a game that would top what the Georgia Dome hosted in 2008 and 2009. In both years, the Florida Gators and Alabama Crimson Tide played for entry into the BCS National Championship Game. While Auburn will likely make the national title game with an SEC win, South Carolina’s ceiling is the Sugar Bowl.

Both Florida and Alabama are larger universities with bigger fanbases than either of these, as well. Still, demand is obviously already very high and will only get higher if the two teams keep winning.
