ACC College Football Schedule, Week 12: FSU-Maryland, Virginia Tech-Miami, N.C. State-UNC

Your week 12 ACC football schedule. All times EST.

Virginia Cavaliers at Boston College Eagles, noon, ESPNU: I would say, "Basketball season is almost here," but it's already here, and I don't think these schools go all that crazy about basketball anyway.

N.C. State Wolfpack at North Carolina Tar Heels, noon, ACC Network or ESPN3: Actually an important game. If the Pack win, next week's game against Maryland could be a division title game.

Duke Blue Devils at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 1:30, ESPN3: The Jackets can earn bowl eligibility with a win over the surprisingly terrifying Devils, who've already beaten one team running Paul Johnson's offense this year. Unless Tech wants to have to earn a bowl bid in prime time in Athens the following week? I DIDN'T THINK SO.

Clemson Tigers at Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 2, ESPN3: Dabo Swinney continues to be the ACC's Derek Dooley, losing yet again on a freak special teams play last week. Can't bear to watch what'll happen to him in this one, other than to say all ACC coaches should add -bo to their names in solidarity.

No. 16 Virginia Tech Hokies at No. 24 Miami Hurricanes, 3:30, ESPN/ABC: A ranked ACC matchup, which we haven't seen in over a month if I'm not mistaken. The Hokies can clinch a spot in the ACC Championship Game with a win, or they can lose and drag everything out for another week. You already know what Swofford's Law states.

No. 25 Florida St. Seminoles at Maryland Terrapins, 8, ABC or ESPN3: Both teams need this win to stay alive in the ACC Atlantic scramble. Swofford's Law states that the South Carolina Gamecocks, who left the ACC decades ago, will somehow take this game to overtime.
