The Georgia Bulldogs have three games left, and need two wins to earn bowl eligibility and keep alive their 13-year bowl streak. With one of those three games being a road trip to meet the No. 2 Auburn Tigers, now is the best possible time for the Idaho St. Bengals to stop by.
Not only are the Bengals an FCS team, they're unbelievably lowly even by FCS standards. In fact, they're even worse off than their 1-7 record would suggest. Not only was their only win over an 0-8 NAIA school with an enrollment of 1,200, the Bengals actually have so few scholarship players that they barely qualify as a win towards bowl eligibility. Please allow the good Senator Blutarsky to explain.
So, yes, Georgia's practice squad could play a man down and still get the Dawgs back to .500 Saturday. That thing coaches say about not looking past an overmatched opponent? Feel free to look past Idaho St. Expect starters to get out of the game for some rest after a drive or two, and I'd much rather be typing about Auburn right now.
