Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Basketball Schedule: Legends Classic Semifinal Vs. UTEP Miners

After beating the Albany, N.Y. Great Danes and Niagara Purple Eagles in the Atlanta Regional of the Legends Classic, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are off to Atlantic City to take on the UTEP Miners. It was a nice coincidence that allowed Tech to play in the Atlanta Regional, but what are the odds of UTEP, the Michigan Wolverines, and the Syracuse Orange also playing in hometown regionals? Impressive!

UTEP's presence on the boards has been almost as bad as the Jackets' shooting. The Miners rank 250th in the nation, with only 33.8 rebounds per game. At least Tech shot at a tolerable rate in their first two Classic games while UTEP got outrebounded by the Western Carolina Catamounts and New Mexico St. Aggies.

This will be the best team Tech has faced yet, beginning a challenging stretch that includes the Northwestern Wildcats and Georgia Bulldogs.
