12th Annual ACC-Big 10 Challenge Kicks Off Tonight

The ACC-Big 10 Challenge, now in its 12th season, kicks off tonight with the Virginia Cavaliers taking on the Minnesota Gophers. The Big 10 won the challenge for the first time last year, and the ACC will be looking for a little bit of revenge. The more southern of the two conferences enters with only one ranked team, but that team is the top team in the nation and defending national champion Duke.

The full schedule:

Monday, November 29th
Virginia @ (17) Minnesota

Tuesday, November 30th

North Carolina @ (21) Illinois
(2) Ohio State @ Florida State
Michigan @ Clemson
Georgia Tech @ Northwestern
Iowa @ Wake Forest

Wednesday, December 1st
(6) Michigan State @ (1) Duke
(18) Purdue @ Virginia Tech
North Carolina State @ Wisconsin
Indiana @ Boston College
Maryland @ Penn State

From glancing at the ESPN expert panel's predictions, it will be another close battle between the two conferences, as they have the Big 10 winning 6-5. The ACC teams that they have winning are Clemson, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Maryland, and Duke.

The marquee game is Wednesday's (6) Michigan State and (1) Duke matchup. This was going to be a #1 versus #2 battle, but Michigan State lost to Connecticut last week.

We will be covering the Georgia Tech and Northwestern game in a separate stream tomorrow, but come back here for updates on all ten of the other games.
