The Virginia Tech Hokies are favored to win this year's ACC Championship Game by 4 points over the Florida St. Seminoles, according to our odds people. The line started at 4.5, FWIW.
This is about as good a matchup as the ACC could've asked for. Despite their early-season embarrassments, the Hokies are one of the nation's hottest teams, running wild through conference play and providing contrary evidence to the popular perception that every ACC team will always finish with the same record. This never actually happens, except it pretty much did in the Atlantic Division, and it pretty much does always happen, which brings us to FSU.
Moving the game from Florida to Charlotte was a great move that should've happened a long time ago. It's virtually guaranteed to sell out for the first time since 2005. North Carolina is the heart of ACC country, as funny as it is to type the words ACC country, and having two good teams with big names and a couple star players should make this the most successful ACCCG game ever. Then again the same two teams faced in 2005 and it was all downhill from there.
