Injured Marvin Williams, Maurice Evans Out For Atlanta Hawks' Friday Matchup Vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

The injuries are piling up for the Atlanta Hawks. The team announced that Marvin Williams and Maurice Evans will not accompany the team to Minneapolis for their matchup against the Timberwolves on Friday night at the Target Center.  Jamal Crawford will go to Minnesota, but may not play.

Williams injured his knee in the fourth quarter of Atlanta's 94-85 win over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night at Philips Arena.  The Atlanta forward suffered the brunt of a collision when Greg Monroe collided into him as he was fouled by Al Horford. Monroe and Horford were battling for a rebound.  Although the team originally diagnosed Williams' injury as a right knee sprain, he will undergo further tests on Thursday.

The Hawks will also play without Evans for the fifth straight game.  The key reserve has been sidelined since Oct. 29 with a right knee injury.

Crawford missed Wednesday's game with a turf toe injury. The reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year is a game-time decision.
