In an editorial calling out Jeremy Roenick for his claim that Dustin Byfuglien wasn’t defender material, Wes Goldstein of CBS Sports gets some quotes from Big Buff and some other members of the Thrashers organization. The highlight is this one from Byfuglien, when asked how it was getting traded to the Thrashers:
↵↵↵“It kind of sucked when it finally happened because it was so fast, but I had a couple of drinks later and it didn’t really matter,” Byfuglien said. “The nice thing is that it happened sooner rather than later.”

Odd. Having a few drinks before going to see the Thrashers is something that the fans do, too.
