Paul Hewitt takes his Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to the Paradise Island in the Bahamas to play the Richmond Spiders in the inaugural Battle at Atlantis. Virginia Tech and Mississippi State will be playing in the night cap of the event which is hosted at the famed Atlantis Resort.
Tech comes into the game with a 5-4 record and having snapped a three game losing streak with a 69-59 victory over Savannah State last Saturday.
Richmond comes into the game sporting an 8-2 record and has already recorded victories over No. 8 Purdue and a road victory over Arizona State. The Spiders only two losses came at Iona and in double overtime to Old Dominion.
Tech is led by junior guard Iman Shumpert who is averaging a team high 14.6 points per game and 3.3 assists per game. Richmond is led by senior guard Kevin Anderson who averages 17.1 points per game and is shooting 48% from three point range.
