Georgia Basketball Schedule: Arkansas State Red Wolves Visit Athens

Georgia heads back to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon fresh from eleven days off due to final exams at the University. Georgia defeated Georgia Tech 73-72 in its last game in what was yet another close win for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are 6-2 on the season and five of those games were decided on the last possession of the game. Saturday's game against Arkansas State starts off a busy stretch for the Bulldogs that will see them play three games in the next five days before Christmas. Georgia kicks off its SEC conference schedule in three weeks when it plays host to the Kentucky Wildcats

Saturday's opponent Arkansas State is coached by former LSU Tigers coach John Brady. The Red Wolves come into the game with a 3-6 record.

Junior Forward Trey Thompkins needs just 12 points to join the 1000 point club at the University of Georgia. He will be the first player to amass 1000 career points since Terrance Woodbury in 2009. Thompkins will be the first player to reach the mark in only three seasons since Ezra Williams reached a 1000 in 2003.

John Brady has a career 6-6 record against Georgia but was only 1-4 in Athens while coaching at LSU.

Tip off is scheduled for Noon on Saturday and the game can be watched on ESPN3.com.
