Mark Fox's Georgia Bulldogs will be looking for their fifth straight win as the High Point Panthers visit Stegeman Coliseum. Georgia is coming off a 68-59 victory over Arkansas State this past Saturday. Georgia's current four game winning streak is the longest such streak under Mark Fox. The Dawgs haven't won five consecutive games since the 2007 season.
The Panthers bring a 5-4 record to Athens and are 2-0 in the Big South Conference. High Point is coached by Scott Cherry who is in his second year with the club and has amassed a 20-19 record during his tenure. The Panthers are led by 6'3" junior guard Nick Barbour who is averaging 16.8 points per contest. Georgia should have a distinct size advantage in this game with High Point expected to start no player taller than 6'6". They will have a hard time matching up with Georgia's 6'10" Trey Thompkins inside so expect a lot of zone defense tonight from the Panthers.
This game is Georgia's next to last contest before Christmas. The team will travel to Mercer on Thursday before breaking for Christmas. Tonight's game tips off at 7:00pm and can be watched on ESPN3.com.
