Chick Fil A Bowl VIDEO: Marcus Lattimore Injured, FSU Up 3-0 On South Carolina

Star freshman South Carolina Gamecocks RB Marcus Lattimore has been knocked out of the Chick Fil A Bowl for the time being with a mouth injury. Carolina has declared him questionable to return. He left the game after taking a hit while catching a pass in the first quarter, and has been seen holding an ice pack to his face on the bench while surrounded by teammates.

The Cocks had driven deep into FSU territory on their previous drive before that long fumble return set up an easy Noles field goal after a difficult to comprehend nine-play, 18-yard FSU drive. Florida State leads 3-0 with about six minutes left in the first, and has just picked off QB Stephen Garcia.

The tomahawk chop is rocking in the Georgia Dome. Steve Spurrier had announced his intention to run the ball “40 or 50” times today — if the Seminoles can take a double-digit lead and Lattimore can’t return, that number’s going to be out of reach.
