Tim Tebow Should Start In Denver Now, Broncos Fans Say

With Josh McDaniels fired as head coach of the Denver Broncos, the question of what happens to Tim Tebow becomes a pretty hot one. The team moved up to draft him because McDaniels' quarterback-guru reputation was supposed to turn the Florida Gators wrecking ball into a dropback NFL quarterback. He's thrown one pass to this point, though hey all right it was a three-yard touchdown. CANTON.

Mile High Report, our Broncos community, thinks Tebow should take the starting job away from Kyle Orton. John Bena writes that the team must find out what it has in Tebow before next year's draft, when the Broncos will be in position to choose another quarterback. Orton has been a stats machine this season, but MHR commenters seem to largely agree that Tebow should finish the year.

McDaniels did achieve one thing during his time as Broncos coach: he set the team up for a very weird future. Getting rid of stars like Brandon Marshall and Peyton Hillis, firing Mike Nolan, and drafting Tebow ensure that whoever takes this job for the long haul won't have quite the same range of creative autonomy.
