Down 5-2 entering the 8th inning after a poor start from Kris Medlen, the Braves needed some heroics. They got them, and then some. Thanks to some shake defense from the Marlins’ Jorge Cantu (2 errors in the inning), a walk, a hit batter, and a clutch bases-loaded, 2-RBI hit from Eric Hinske, the Braves tied it. Two batters later, Brooks Conrad came up with the bases loaded again. And just like he did earlier in the year against the Reds, the “Raw Dog” came through with a Grand Slam. That put the Braves up 9-5, and they would add another run in the 8th to make it 8 runs in the inning and a 10-5 final.
