According to Dave O'Brien of the AJC, Eric O'Flaherty will be activated on Friday, which most likely means that Michael Dunn will be demoted back to triple-A Gwinnett. O'Flaherty was disabled on July 15 due to having mononucleosis.
That's two innings TONIGHT for #Braves' O'Flaherty at Triple-A Gwinnett, then rest two days and be activated
He has thrown two innings at Gwinnett already as he recovers from his sickness, allowing just one hit and striking out two between two appearances.
This season, he has a 2.30 ERA over 31.1 innings and has a 2.77 ERA in his Atlanta Braves tenure, which began last season and has spanned 87.2 innings. Eric has a 17-3 strikeout-to-walk ratio against left-handed hitters this season and has combined with Jonny Venters and Billy Wagner to form one of the top left-handed sides of the bullpen in all of baseball.
