Tech And Georgia Football Recruiting: Each Signs A Three-Star Defender Over The Weekend

The Dawgs picked up 6-foot-5, 295-pound defensive tackle Chris Mayes from Spalding. Writes Chip Towers:

Mayes did not start playing football until last season. But it turns out that was enough time get noticed. The 6-foot-5, 295-pound athlete entered his senior season with around a dozen offers.

According to GoJackets.com, the site that covers Tech for Scout’s network, McNair had offers from at least a dozen schools. But he says chose the Jackets over North Carolina and South Carolina after talking his situation over with his family Sunday night.
