University Of Florida Offering StarCraft Class

In the latest blow to the offseason-long claim that Big Ten academics reign supreme, the University of Florida "is offering a class in StarCraft -- 21st Century Skills in Starcraft (EME2040). The course, taught by doctoral student Nathaniel Poling, uses Blizzard's classic RTS to impart students with skills in the areas of 'critical thinking, problem solving, resource management, and adaptive decision making,'" according to videogame blog Joystiq.

The class counts towards GPA, and has no final. Come on. Even Jim Harrick's class had a final.

Bulldog fans, pray South Carolina and Tennessee don't decide to join in, or you'll be surrounded on all fronts by total nerds. In other University of Florida videogame news, NCAA 11 cover man Tim Tebow has been named 2010's Most Eligible Christian Bachelor.
