Braves Starter Kris Medlen Injured

Throwing a pitch in the fifth inning of the Braves – Mets game Wednesday night, starting pitcher Kris Medlen sustained an injury to the ulnar collateral ligament. An MRI will be performed tomorrow, but the Braves hope for the best.

This could be a remnant of the injury he sustained last week when he was hit by a pitch in Cincinnati. While that injury was on his forearm and caused only swelling, it could still be lingering and causing this pain.
