The Braves have played an excellent series all around and go for the sweep with Tim Hudson, a legitimate Cy Young candidate, on the mound.
Tommy Hanson, Omar Infante, and Jason Heyward won tonight's game against the Mets. The Braves had just 11 hits tonight and seven belonged to Heyward and Infante. Hanson allowed just one hit and one walk over seven dominant innings. The Braves also got out to a lead very early and made it seem like a relatively easy game from then on out.
These are the types of games you love to see as September begins. Quick and quiet victories with a few players carrying the team, and the best part is that this team usually has a different few players contributing each night. That is, except for Infante and Heyward as of late.
