Atlanta Falcons' Defense Will Have Five New Starters in Pittsburgh

From D. Led:

From the unit that started last season’s finale in Tampa Bay, there are only six returning starters – safety Thomas DeCoud, safety Erik Coleman, cornerback Brent Grimes, linebackers Curtis Lofton and Mike Peterson and defensive end John Abraham.

There will be five new starters — three along the defensive line — when they take the field at 1 p.m. Sunday against Pittsburgh.

The new starters are cornerback Dunta Robinson, linebacker Sean Weatherspoon, defensive end Kroy Biermann and defensive tackles Peria Jerry and Trey Lewis.

This is a defense that finished 21st overall in 2009 so changing up the starting lineup can only be positive. Lewis gets the start but we can expect to see a lot of Thomas Johnson, Corey Peters and Vance Walker in Mike Smith’s defensive line rotation of doom. I may have added the “doom” part but it sounds better than simply, “a rotation”, don’t ya think?
