Georgia Tech-Kansas, End Of 1st: 7-7, Or Tech's Defense Is Still Tech's Defense

Al Groh’s Georgia Tech defense is just as clammy and fragile up the middle as Dave Wommack’s was. Despite whipping together a pair of sacks and a quarterback hit or two, Tech has given up 133 yards to the mighty Jawhawk no-huddle spread attack. Quarterback Jordan Webb is 10-of-12.

Joshua Nesbitt completed his first pass, leading your correspondent to hope he would attempt no other passes today and remain a perfect passer for one day. Kansas forced a three-and-out, and Tech has only run ten offensive plays so far.

Kansas has the ball inside the five, and they’re probably going to score.
