Report: Georgia State Quarterback Star Jackson Will Play Saturday

Ken Suguira reports:

Drew Little will remain the starter, but offensive coordinator John Bond said Tuesday that backups Kelton Hill and Star Jackson have earned playing time.

With continued good work in practice, “I think [Jackson] is working his way into a role of playing,” Bond said. “I think he’s earning that.”

So far Little has been the primary passer, with Hill coming in to run various option sets. Jackson, presumably, can do a bit of both, having performed well in his limited public exhibitions as an Alabama backup.

Jackson was suspended for part of week one after missing a team bus, and has missed some practice time due to illness and his late transfer.
