So, instead of Kinston, the Braves have decided to move their high-A affiliate to Lynchburg, Virginia.
As previously mentioned, the Braves triple-A affiliate used to be located in Richmond. The Braves have had a historically strong fan base in Virginia and moving the high-A team to that state may be a wise move.
Either way, it is unfortunate to have lost the Pelicans. Being in such a tourist friendly spot made the team more well known than most other minor league teams.
