WNBA Finals, End Of Third Quarter: Dream Down, 67-60

With Angel McCoughtry on the bench for the closing minutes, Seattle’s three-point shooting caught fire. Atlanta’s lead had grown to six, but Swin Cash and Sue Bird combined to post a 9-0 run.

Lauren Jackson picked up her fourth foul on a McCoughtry and-one drive.

Storm players were visibly frustrated with about five minutes to go, with Jackson getting all Garnett rage-y and Sue Bird tipping an easy pass out of bounds, committing a pointless blocking foul, and not smiling at all times as is her custom.

Seattle coach Brian Agler, apparently mic’d up and hooked to a Marshall stack, continues to have the world’s most annoying voice. Whatever he loudly wailed during that timeout at the 4:33 mark must have made a difference, if only because Storm players realized they needed to step it up or they’d have to listen to Agler speak some more.
