Falcons Find The Ground Game And Control First Quarter Tempo; Lead 7-0

The Falcons offense has been rolling up the yards with Michael Turner rushing for 53 yards and Jason Snelling adding 21 yards in the first quarter of action.

Christopher Owens intercepted Derek Anderson just before the first quarter ended.

Penalties

The Cardinals’ LaRod Stephens-Howling had a kick return touchdown called back due to holding.

Observations

Jonathan Babineaux gets a huge push on the d-line. He was missed last week.

Michael Turner is showing the 2008 form that put him in the Pro Bowl. The Cardinals have no hope of stopping him. The entire Falcons’ offense seems a step faster than the Cardinals defense. There was a lot of concern after Week 1’s loss but it’s clear it was not the fault of Turner but the stinginess of the Steelers’ defense.
