Georgia State Football: Nine Dollar Tickets And Yung Joc

Though the buzz around Pantherdom is that tonight’s unveiling will sell out the Georgia Dome’s lower bowl, plenty of good seats are still available. Ordinarily that’s a dis, but we pause to reflect on the happy fact that tickets to Georgia State football are, indeed, obtainable in the first place.

Best deal I’ve found, and the one we took advantage of: buy tickets through georgiastatesports.com, using the promo code The Fan to get $9.02 tickets. Of course, scalpers will be orbiting, but it felt good to support the newest member of Atlanta football.

That number 902 seems to have been chosen for significance; it’s the area code of Nova Scotia, for one thing.

Rapper Yung Joc will be debuting a halftime Panthem that’s likely to be even more Atlanta than the team’s new fight song. You’d love to comment on “Bleed Blue,” but the school’s website has buried it behind proprietary Windows-only plugins, so it may be best to assume it sounds something like this, but with a couplet somewhere in there using whatever the most obvious rhyme for Curry is.
