College Football Bowl Games

↵

TicketCity Bowl: Northwestern Wildcats at Texas Tech Red Raiders, noon, ESPN3: I do believe this will be the first bowl game I miss the entirety of this season. Zero interest in either team, at least one hour too early, and it's eventually going up against a three-headed SEC bowlgasm (gross!) ... but .com has live previews and coverage anyway!

↵

Outback Bowl: Florida Gators vs. Penn St. Nittany Lions, 1, ABC: "Let's have a toast to the jerkoffs..." The end of the Urban Meyer era at Florida, a reign that brought two national titles to Gainesville. "That'll never take work off..." Meyer's stepping down to watch more Georgia Tech volleyball after almost literally giving his heart to Gators football. "Baby I got a plan..." You can hate him all you want, but this is your last chance to do it during a game actually coached by Corch himself. For now, at least. "Run away fast as you can..." Previews and coverage.

↵

Capital One Bowl: Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Michigan St. Spartans, 1, ESPN: Nick Saban's Sparty reunion is expected to be a blowout, but after HALF of the bowl games before today wound up as upsets ... no, this one will still be a blowout. .com's game stream is still pending at this moment, but check for it later today.

↵

Gator Bowl: Mississippi St. Bulldogs vs. Michigan Wolverines, 1:30, ESPN2: Denard Robinson gets the chance to showcase that stuff he does against SEC speed. At this point, SEC speed should be renamed SEC West speed, as the SEC East is the 2009 ACC. Previews and coverage.

↵

Rose Bowl: Wisconsin Badgers vs. TCU Horned Frogs, 4:30, ESPN: I like how everybody's talking like TCU has made it by getting to a BCS game against a non-Boise State opponent. Lot of good this exact scenario did Boise after its 2006 Fiesta Bowl win against Oklahoma, huh? Previews and coverage.

↵

Fiesta Bowl, Connecticut Huskies vs. Oklahoma Sooners, 8:30, ESPN: Uhhhh previews and coverage.

Basketball
